Contemporary artist David Humphrey to deliver Claflin Lecture, March 27, 2012.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY -- Contemporary artist David Humphrey to deliver Claflin Lecture on Tuesday, March 27. Free and open to the public, the lecture will begin at 6:00pm in Taylor Hall room 103. This lecture is sponsored by the Vassar Art Department.

David Humphrey is a New York artist who has shown nationally and internationally. He has received a Guggenheim Fellowship and the Rome Prize among other awards. An anthology of his art writing, Blind Handshake, was published by Periscope Publishing in 2010. He is a senior critic at the Yale School of Art and is represented by the Fredericks Freiser Gallery, NY.
