A Claflin Lecture “3 Women”, Christopher Wood, March 28, 2017

Christopher Wood is Professor and Chair at the German Department, New York University and a widely respected art historian. His many books include Albrecht Altdorfer and the Origins of Landscape (1993, reissued with new Afterword, 2014); Forgery, Replica, Fiction: Temporalities of German Renaissance Art (2008); and Anachronic Renaissance (with Alexander Nagel) (2010). He is the editor of The Vienna School Reader: Politics and Art Historical Method in the 1930s (2000).

A Claflin Lecture “Scratching on Things I Could Disavow”, Walid Raad, February 22, 2017

Walid Raad is an artist and a Professor of Art in The Cooper Union (New York, USA). Raad’s works include The Atlas Group, a fifteen-year project between 1989 and 2004 about the contemporary history of Lebanon, and the ongoing projects Scratching on Things I Could Disavow and Sweet Talk: Commissions (Beirut). His books include Walkthrough, The Truth Will Be Known When The Last Witness Is Dead, My Neck Is Thinner Than A Hair, Let’s Be Honest The Weather Helped, and Scratching on Things I Could Disavow.
