Catwalk Art Residency
Catwalk Art Residency is an artist residency program established in 2004 by James and Purcell Palmer at the Palmers' residence known as CATWALK in Catskill, New York. The mission of the Catwalk Art Residency is to establish Catwalk as a special retreat for art making, collaborative projects and scholarly discourse in a visually stimulating part of the country that has historically provided and continues today to provide significant inspiration to artists, cultural historians, writers and scholars. The Palmers' vision for Catwalk is still developing, and they welcome Vassar's participation in that development. Vassar encourages students and alumnae/i who would enjoy contributing to the formation of an intellectually and artistically vibrant residency program to apply. Applicants who work in a variety of media, who are interested in collaborative work, or who would find time in the Hudson Valley of special importance to their work may find the residency of particular interest. Artists working collaboratively can apply as a team, only one member of the team needs to be a Vassar Alumnae/i. Please go to http://catwalkartresidency.com/ to learn more about Catwalk.
