Gina Ruggeri teaches Basic Drawing and Design at Vassar. She joined the faculty in 1996, after receiving her MFA in Painting and Printmaking from the Yale School of Art, and her BFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art. She has participated in several group shows in New York and Brooklyn, and has had solo exhibitions at Red Dot Gallery in New York, Kevin Bruk Gallery in Miami, and at Vassar. She won the Guest Artist Competition of the 2003 Tenri Bienniale, an award that brought her to Japan for a solo exhibition of her work. In 2002, she was awarded a fellowship at the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation Space Program, which grants studio space to artists for one year. Her work has been published in the magazine New American Paintings.
