Richard Bosman began teaching drawing and printmaking at Vassar in 1995. He has taught at Columbia University, Yale Summer School of Art, The School of Visual Arts and Cooper Union. He received a London Certificate of Art and Design (distinction) in 1967 and later studied at the New York Studio School and The Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. He was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1994 and an Award in the Visual Arts in 1981. He has shown extensively in America and Europe and his work is in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art and The Australian National Gallery.
